How is the procedure done?

• The mid abdomen is punctured at five points to facilitate the entry of the endoscope with a camera and other laparoscopic surgery tools. 
• The artery and duct connecting to the gall bladder are sealed and the gall bladder is separated from the liver. 
• The bile and stones are suctioned out from the gall bladder after which the gallbladder is removed through one of the incisions.
• The incisions are closed either by stitches or surgical tape.
